In 2006, Glynn Nicholas directed Eurobeat – The Almost Eurovision featuring Julia Zemiro as the hostess Bronya. Eurobeat toured Australia for six months and in 2007 Nicholas re-cast the show in the UK and took it to the Edinburgh Fringe starring Mel Giedroyc. It became the biggest-selling show of the Festival, packing the 800 seat Pleasance Grand and won a number of Fringe Awards. In 2008 it toured the UK for 20 weeks before a 3-month run in London’s West End at the prestigious Novello Theatre. In 2008, the show played in South Korea and in 2009 Glynn produced and directed the show in the QPAC Theatre with Rhonda Burchmore as co-host, Boyka.
In 2016 he directed, co-wrote and produced Song Contest – The Almost Eurovision Experience featuring Bev Killick as Bettina Bitjakokov, which trialed in Melbourne during the 2016 Comedy Festival, garnering unanimous critical acclaim. Song Contest is set to play Europe in 2019.
