Glynn Nicholas

“Eurobeat hits its target bang on… the most exuberantly enjoyable musical to have opened in the West End since Hairspray. As the sign outside the theatre promises: you’ll laugh until the tears run down your legs.”
The Telegraph UK

Man Overboard is a play about men. Glynn Nicholas as Alex.

An innovative 90-minute non-verbal variety show featuring, illusions, dance, physical comedy, music and mime programmed as part of the Brisbane Festival.

As Tap Dogs reinvented tap dance and Stomp reinvented percussion, Shoosh fuses mime with dance, illusion and physical comedy to create a dynamic evening of unforgettable theatre. One hundred minutes of fast moving, high powered, visually arresting but wordless entertainment accompanied by a live percussive score.

Here Eccentric Waiters will battle restaurant patrons chosen from the audience, Hitchcock Blondes will triumph over attacking birds, pesky shower curtains and vertigo inducing heights.  Transylvanian Vampires turn up on the bar stool next to you and Robotic Cops terrify speeding drivers. Aging Strippers combat their feather boas and g-strings while Dipsomaniacal Tramps see visions of glasses that come alive and bottles that fly through the air. And more.

Without dialogue but speaking in a physical and emotional language, Shoosh talks to audiences whatever their native tongue. In it’s broad, athletic and highly theatrical style, Shoosh is a real event, a revue for the new age.

MAN OVERBOARD (aka Certified Male) by Scott Rankin and Glynn Nicholas.

A very funny, poignant stage coming coming soon to New York City.

“A genuinely funny. often hilarious, momentarily touching night at the theatre…. knockabout blokiness, mime and songs is a perfect platform for a piece about the business of being men. It’s a pleasure to see such exceptional comedic acting in a well-crafted, stylish production.”

The Age

“CERTIFIED MALE has developed into a classy, commercial blockbuster ready to take-on Broadway and the West End….the ideal education tool for women to understand men and men to understand themselves.”
